What does the name Dark Verse mean?

Most of the work performed by digital artists goes unseen and is, largely, incomprehensible. The results of their work are clearly seen however the inner workings and detail remain mostly a mystery; a dark art. It is represented by the symbol for dark energy, Lambda, which, together with dark matter, constitutes the majority of the Universe (about 95%). We know very little about this "dark" stuff  other than we can see the results of its action and know that we need it.

While “verse” could mean a lyric or poem in this case it is actually a colloquial expression for Universe, and is an obscure tribute to a rather fine television series that was prematurely cancelled after one season.
